Shae met Patrick when they were traveling for work via a dating app. Their first date started at La Crepe with an awkward hug and hello, but once the conversation started it never ended. What was supposed to be a nice brunch and bye turned into an entire day of exploring Downtown Melbourne. From that day on Shae and Patrick could not stop wanting to be near each other, which they made a reality when they moved in together at 6 months. Now almost 3 years into their relationship they both agree that they are very excited for their upcoming nuptials next year.

After Shae and Patrick found their wedding venue of their dreams and put a deposit neither wanted to wait for their proposal trips that they had planned for months later. On the way home from visiting family for Christmas they decided to propose to each other that Sunday at their favorite hiking spot Turkey Creek Sanctuary. They immediately texted their close friends and photographers Nick and Lauren and asked if they were free.

December 28, 2025 Shae and Patrick woke up and hiked their favorite trail, met Lauren and Nick on the boardwalk and proposed to each other. After the excitement we all went to La Crepe, where Shae and Patrick first met and had a wonderful breakfast.
